The name “The Monk’s Cellar” itself is a nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium, a country known for its vibrant beer culture. From his trips to Europe, our founder Andy Klein was inspired to create a place in Placer County where people could meet in a casual, safe environment; where good food and great beer are just part of everyday life.Read moreabout us

Yes. Everything there looks awesome, but I always get a burger and beer. Never have I been disappointed. Very cool bar, everyone there is very friendly, and it's location is in a cool spot on Vernon street.
We mainly do take outs here but just want to say they have the best burgers and fish and chips (super crispy...I cannot stand soggy fish and chips!). If you are craving good American pub food, come to Monk's cellar...
Each time I have been there, I'm greeted with a smile and a friendly hello from the staff at front desk. A nice way to start. The wait staff has always been outgoing and on top of everything. Service very good and attentive...
My husband and I love this place, we've been coming for years and often got takeout throughout covid times. So happy they're going strong. Best burger (the Monk's), always cooked perfectly, their duck fat fries are BOMB...
The meal was quite delicious. We ordered a Beyond burger with avocado added. Tasted very similar to a beef burger but it was plant based! The fries were tasty as was the margarita. We will be back for sure!
